Jimmy Carter is known as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He is most famous for winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 and has been praised with having one of the most peaceful presidential terms in modern times.

James Earl Carter Jr. was born on October 1, 1924 in Plains, Georgia. His father, James Sr., was a hardworking rancher who claimed his own little plot of land. His mom, Bessie Lillian Gordy, was an enlisted nurse who during the 1920s had crossed racial partitions to advise black women on human services issues.

When Jimmy Carter was four years of age, the family moved to Archery, a town roughly two miles from Plains. It was a scantily populated and profoundly provincial town, where horse drawn wagons remained the prevailing method of transportation and power and indoor pipes rare. Carter was a studious kid who stayed away from trouble and started working at his father's store at ten years old.

Carter expected the presidential administration in a period of impressive good faith, at first getting a charge out of out of his new job. After his debut presidential address Carter escaped his limousine to stroll to the White House among his supporters. With oil costs rising, and in the fallout of the 1973 oil ban, Carter wanted to fix the United States of its reliance on oil. On August 12, 2015, Carter went through a medical procedure to remove a mass from his liver and found that he had cancer growth. In an announcement, he stated: "Recent liver surgery revealed that I have cancer that now is in other parts of my body. I will be rearranging my schedule as necessary so I can undergo treatment by physicians at Emory Healthcare."

After seven days on, Carter held a news gathering in which he said specialists had discovered melanoma, on his brain. He clarified that he would start radiation treatment that day and would need to change his bustling schedule. He was able to eventually beat the cancer.

On March 21, 2019, Carter turned into the longest-living U.S. president at 94 years and 172 days old, outperforming the record built up by George H.W. Bush. In May 2019, it was uncovered that he had experienced a medical procedure in the wake of falling and breaking his hip.
