Alessandra Mussolini is known as an Italian politician and a former actress and model. She is most famous for being the granddaughter of Benito Mussolini, a former prime minister of Italy. She is also well known for her various controversies including her recent feud with Canadian comedian and actor, Jim Carrey.

Fame

Background and Education

Alessandra Mussolini was born in December 30, 1962 in Rome as the little girl of Romano Mussolini. Romano was an Italian jazz piano player and the fourth child of Benito Mussolini, the Prime Minister of Italy from 1922 to 1943. Her mother is actress Anna Maria Villani Scicolone. Her mom is the sister of actress Sophia Loren.

She went to secondary school at the American Overseas School of Rome from 1976 to 1980. She graduated in 1986 from Sapienza University of Rome, where she got her master of science in medicine and medical surgery.

Career

She has been a member of the Italian Senate since 2013 and was chosen for The People of Freedom which later turned out to be part of Forza Italia. Since 2014, she has been a Member of the European Parliament.

She was the author and pioneer of the national traditionalist ideological group Social Action from 2004 until 2008. Mussolini additionally filled in as a Member of the European Parliament, and she has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies, the lower chamber of the Italian Parliament, for The People of Freedom.

Jim Carrey, the entertainer turned-political activist first incensed Alessandra Mussolini when he posted one of his political illustrations on Saturday. It portrayed her grandfather and his special lady, Claretta Petacci, hung by their feet after they were executed by terminating squad in 1945. In the caption of the drawing, Carrey wrote, “If you’re wondering what fascism leads to, just ask Benito Mussolini and his mistress Claretta.” Even though Benito is widely known as a fascist, Alessandra still took offense to the depiction of her grandfather.

Personal Life

Relationships

She married customs policeman Mauro Floriani on October 28, 1989. Conflicting with custom, she proposed to him instead of the other way around. Together they have three children, Caterina, Clarissa, and Romano. The last was named after her father.

Her better half was booked to appear at court for a child prostitution preliminary trial in 2015. In 2013, around 50 men, among them professionals, ministers, and politicians were blamed for paying two high school young ladies for sexual favors in Rome.
