Nancy O'Dell was born on February 25, 1966 in Sumter, SC. O'Dell is a summa cum laude graduate of Clemson University. In May of 2013, during spring functions, Clemson University granted Nancy with a privileged Doctor of Humanities qualification.

Nancy O'Dell started her broadcast career as a columnist and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She later worked as a morning commentator and crime journalist at WCBD-TV in Charleston, S.C. O'Dell proceeded to become evening co-anchor and journalist in Miami for NBC's WTVJ-TV, before joining "Access Hollywood."
Named one of "TV Week's" 10 Most Bankable Stars in Syndication, Emmy Award-winning entertainment journalist O'Dell has proven to be a power in every aspect of her career as a host, author, producer, and entrepreneur. One of the nation's generally regarded and driving entertainment journalists, O'Dell was the co-host of the most watched entertainment news program on the planet, Entertainment Tonight, having gathered selective interviews with President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah, Angelina Jolie, Second Lady Jill Biden, and Oscar champ Jamie Foxx.
Notwithstanding her work with ET, O'Dell has contributed reports to "CBS This Morning," NBC's "Today" show and "Dateline. She is an official producer and host of "Superstars at Home", which had more than three seasons air on HGTV. O'Dell was handpicked by Oprah and Mark Burnett to host "Your Own Show," one of OWN system's debut primetime shows. Having more than 20 years of experience, O'Dell is a go-to anchor for live TV specials including the 2011 national Emmy pre-show, "Commencement to the Emmys", and FOX's New Year's Eve Special ringing in 2011. She was a special presenter on CBS's 2013 and 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards.
In Aug 2019, it was announced that Nancy O'Dell was bidding farewell to "Entertainment Tonight" after almost 10 years. Nancy declared that she's venturing down from her post as the co-host of the coordinated newsmagazine to invest time and energy with her family, "I’m going to enjoy some time off with the most wonderful gal in my life, my daughter because they grow up way too fast."
Marriage and Divorce
Nancy's first marriage was to Richard O'Dell in 1995. They got divorced nine years later in 2004. Nancy then got married to Keith Zubulevich in 2005. They got divorced thirteen years later in 2018.
