Background

Destiny Hope Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee. Miley Cyrus was born as the daughter of '90s country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. Cyrus experienced her adolescent years on the family farm near Nashville, Tennessee. She was vigorous about pursuing a dream of acting at a very young age, appearing on her father's TV series, Doc, and in Tim Burton's film Big Fish in 2003.

Ex-boyfriend and Husband

Miley dated Nick Jonas of the famous boy band, the Jonas Brothers in 2007. She was then romantically associated with model Justin Gaston and actor Carter Jenkins. In June 2012, after three years of dating, Cyrus revealed her engagement commitment to Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. The pair sadly broke things up in September 2013 but ended up getting back together and eventually got married on December 23, 2018.

In August 2019, it was reported that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split a year after getting married. They ended up getting married too soon when they were not certain that they were meant for each other.

Singing and Acting Career

Cyrus beat out 1,000 hopefuls to land at the career highlighting role of Miley Stewart on the hit Disney show Hannah Montana in 2004. The young adult series features an energetic pop superstar named Montana. To oblige the taping schedule of the show, the entire family moved to Los Angeles, California, with Billy Ray joining his daughter on screen as her on-screen father. Having her father there to help her through the motions was really positive for Miley who was just starting to grow up on and off the screen. Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus was another hit album and prompted her Best of Both Worlds Tour in 2007. The tour series sold out in record time, and the show was expanded up to 14 dates to help placate disappointed fans. Her 3-D show film accumulated $31.3 million during its opening week's end in February 2008. Her film, Hannah Montana: The Movie scored big in the box office, securing more than $79 million after its April 2009 release. After leaving her Montana days for good, Cyrus forged a career as a solo pop singer.
