Judd Seymore Hirsch is an American actor best known for his roles as Alex Rieger on Taxi, John Lacey on NBC's Dear John, and Alan Eppes on CBS's Numb3rs. He has received two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, two Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Play, a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy, and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Judd Seymore Hirsch was born on March 15, 1935, in The Bronx, New York. He was born as the child of Sally and Joseph Sidney Hirsch, a circuit tester.
