Jason Omar Holder was born on November 5, 1991 in Bridgetown, Barbados. Holder was born as one of those youthful cricketers who would demonstrate promise in the West Indian team.

Holder made his ODI debut against Australia in February 2013 at Perth. That was a disappointing counterpart for West Indies as they were packaged out for 70 runs.
