Background and Age

Nicholas D. Miller was born on December 26, 1990 in San Francisco, CA. Illenium was born to his folks in Chicago however experienced childhood in San Francisco. He started making electronic music in 2008. In the mid-year of 2012, he saw Bassnectar perform at Red Rocks Amphitheater and decided to focus on music even more passionately after that life changing moment.

He survived through a heroin overdose, a reality he imparted to his fans in 2018. Referring to this, the experience was the inspiration for his 2018 tune, "Cut You Down".
