Gabrielle Monique Union was born on October 29, 1972, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the middle child in a group of three little girls. Her folks, Sylvester and Teresa, both worked as administrators for the broadcast communications organization AT&T. Her father additionally served in the military, achieving the position of sergeant.
