Chris Cillizza is an American journalist and political commentator. He is currently the editor-at-large for CNN Politics and a columnist for The Washington Post. He is also the host of the podcast “The Point with Chris Cillizza”.

Early Life

Chris Cillizza was born in Marlborough, Connecticut on February 20, 1976. He attended Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1998. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant for the Washington Post and then as a staff writer for Roll Call.

Career

In 2006, Cillizza joined The Washington Post as a political blogger. He wrote the blog “The Fix”, which focused on politics and the 2008 presidential election. In 2010, he became the editor of the Post’s political blog, “The Fix”. In 2013, he was named the Post’s political editor.

In 2017, Cillizza joined CNN as a political commentator and editor-at-large for CNN Politics. He is a regular contributor to CNN’s “Inside Politics” and “State of the Union”. He also hosts the podcast “The Point with Chris Cillizza”.
