Ben Shapiro is a conservative political pundit and media personality in the United States. He became the youngest nationally syndicated writer in the United States at the age of 17. Shapiro is the editor emeritus of The Daily Wire, which Shapiro established, and conducts The Ben Shapiro Show, a daily political podcast and live radio show. He writes essays for Creators Syndicate, Newsweek, and Ami Magazine.

Ben Shapiro was born Benjamin Aaron Shapiro on January 15, 1984, in Los Angeles, California. Ben's father's name is David Shapiro. He was raised alongside three sisters. One of his sisters is also an online personality.

He entered the highly respected college, UCLA, at 16 years old and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in June 2004 with a degree in Political Science. He graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude in June 2007.

Career

Ben Shapiro started his media career by writing segments for various daily papers and websites like-FrontPageMag.com, FamilySecurityMatters.com, Human Events, and ABCNews.com.

He also wrote some books like Project President: Bad Hair and Botox on the Road to the White House, Brainwashed, and Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV.

Ben has appeared on various TV shows, and radio shows around the nation like "The Dennis Prager Show," "The O'Reilly Factor," The Lars Larson Show," Fox and Friends," and "Scarborough Country." In 2015, he became the coordinator of "The Daily Wire," an American talk news website.

Shapiro has won Emma Awards, two Peabody Awards, and two Dupont Awards through his commentary work.

Shapiro made national headlines in May 2019 when he appeared in a debate with a BBC journalist. The BBC journalist accused Shapiro of being a factor behind the divisive political scene in the United States. Shapiro denied that he was to blame and even lied during the debate to protect his reputation. The BBC journalist provided evidence that Shapiro drummed up hateful feelings on the Conservative media end while playing innocent. Shapiro stormed off the debate after displaying his anger.

Personal life

Abigail Shapiro, an opera singer, has been the target of online antisemitic trolling due to her brother's prominent public status. Shapiro is a cousin of Mara Wilson, a writer, and actress, yet the two are not friendly owing to their opposing political views.

He is married to Mor Toledano in a Jewish-themed wedding in 2008. The couple has given birth to two children. They had a girl in 2014 and another child in 2016. His daughter, Leeya Eliana Shapiro, experienced atrial septal deformity when she was in her early stages. His wife, Mor, is studying to become a doctor, which Shapiro often rants about in his commentary. The FBI detained a man from Washington in 2019 for threatening Shapiro and his family with death.

Shapiro and his family announced their departure from California in September 2020. Shapiro moved the Daily Wire's offices to Nashville, Tennessee, but Shapiro eventually settled in South Florida.
