Amanda Seyfried is known as an American actress. She is most famous for her roles in 'Mean Girls' and 'Mamma Mia!', a popular film adaptation of the classic stage play.

Amanda Seyfried born on December 3, 1985, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Seyfried's father, Jack, worked as a drug pharmacist and her mom, Ann, as an occupational therapist. Amanda experienced childhood in an affectionate family. Her older sister, Jenn was her closest companion. Her folks are still attached and love each other. They are astonishing guardians that have raised a great young woman.

Seyfried started modeling at age 11 and appeared on the fronts of three Francine Pascal books. By the following year, Seyfried was modeling for the retail clothing company, The Limited Too with future Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester.

She studied opera with a voice mentor during her adolescent years. Her early acting duties caused her to miss a great deal of classes at William Allen High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania, however she graduated in 2003. She got a spot at Fordham University in New York City, however a career-changing film role shifted her life.

Career

Amanda’s first contract role came at age 15, playing Lucinda Marie "Lucy" Montgomery on the soap opera As the World Turns (2000). She next appeared as Joni Stafford on another soap opera, All My Children (2002).

Seyfried's huge break came playing Karen Smith, a ditzy prominent blonde, in the hit film Mean Girls (2004), written by Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey. After appearing with co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, Seyfried was excited to become a famous name among young actresses.

Seyfried acted in a few supporting TV and film roles throughout the following two years. She was in Nine Lives (2005), American Guns (2005), Alpha Dog (2006) and Veronica Mars (2004-2006). Her next noticeable role was in the HBO drama series Big Love (2006), where she played one of the girls in a polygamous Mormon family and co-featured with Bill Paxton, Chloe Sevigny and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Seyfried remained on the show for four seasons before leaving to concentrate on her movie career.

With respect to her love life, Seyfried has been connected to a series of actors, including Jesse Marchant, Dominic Cooper, Ryan Phillippe, Josh Hartnett, Alexander Skarsgard and Desmond Harrington.

In 2016, she started dating actor Thomas Sadoski, her co-star in The Last Word (2017). The couple married in March 2017 and later that month, Seyfried brought forth their first child, a little girl.
