Fame

Background

Dwyane Tryone Wade Jr. also known as "D-Wade" and "Flash," was born on January 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. Soon after his introduction to the world, Dwade's folks, Dwyane Sr. and Jolinda Wade, split from each other. His mom, Jolinda, was given parental custody of the two youthful children, Wade and his 5-year-old sister, Tragil. The family battled struggles monetarily and was eventually compelled to go on welfare.

Wade's life improved when, at 8 years of age, he was deceived by his sister, Tragil. She revealed to him they were heading out to the motion picture theater, yet they instead went to an alternate South Side neighborhood. Tragil then came back to Chicago, and left Wade to remain with his father, who had re-married. The move changed his life, driving him far from the rime region he had lived with his mom.

Career

When Wade declared for the 2003 NBA draft, he was chosen by the Miami Heat, and was picked fifth overall. In Wade's first year with the Heat, he did really well and was a choice for the 2004 NBA All-Rookie team. In the 2006 season, Wade gave a noteworthy performance in the NBA finals against the Dallas Mavericks. It would be the first of his three NBA championships. In April 2019, Wade played his last game and retired from his beloved sport.

Personal Life

Relationships

Wade married his high school sweetheart, Siohvaughn Funches, with whom he has two children, Zaire born in 2001 and Zion born in 2007. The couple separated in 2007, and in 2011 Wade acquired full custody care of both Zaire and Zion. Wade's book, A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball, archives his life as both a single parent and pro ball player.

The split from his first wife was messy because she felt that Wade abandoned her after he found success. She thought that since she was with him from the start of his journey, she would always be by his side. As life changed for Wade, he started to become more open to better opportunities than living a life with his high school love.

Wade married famous African actress Gabrielle Union on August 30, 2014 in Miami. There have been rumors of cheating by Wade but the couple has stayed strong and remain a power couple in the African American entertainment industry.
