Luke Walton is known as an American professional basketball coach and former player. He is famous for being the son of basketball hall of famer, Bill Walton and the current head coach for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Background and Education
Luke Walton was born as Luke Theodore Walton on March 18, 1980 in San Diego, California. He is the child of Susie and Bill Walton. He has three brothers named Adam, Nathan, and Chris. He graduated from the University of San Diego High School in 1998. For his college studies, he went to the University of Arizona where he played basketball under mentor and legendary coach, Lute Olson.
Career
Luke Walton, he has been dynamic in the professional basketball since 2003 until he retired in 2013. He started playing basketball at the pro level after being chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2003 NBA draft.
He was one of the most loved players of the Lakers fan base and he was picked to speak to Los Angeles fans in the Shooting Stars Competition during All-Star Weekend in 2005. On July 12, 2007, he signed a six-year contract worth $30 million with the Lakers. On March 15, 2012, he was sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside Jason Kapono in return for Ramon Sessions and Christian Eyenga.
Walton started his coaching career as an associate coach at the University of Memphis during the 2011 NBA lockout. After his retirement, he turned into a player development coach in Los Angeles D-League during the 2013-14 seasons. On July 3, 2014, he turned into the associate coach for Golden State Warriors where he won his first NBA Finals title in 2015 as a coach.
On April 29, 2016, he was employed by the Lakers to turn into their new head coach. The general manager, Magic Johnson stepped down from the Lakers in April 2019 amidst rumors that the franchise had to choose between Magic and Luke.

Relationships
Luke is a happily married man. He is married to his long term lover, Bre Ladd. They got married on August 7, 2013. They got married in the ski center of Aspen, Colorado and 200 guests were invited to celebrate their union. His best man was former Arizona college teammate and former NBA player, Richard Jefferson.
Bre and Luke met out of the blue at Arizona University. They didn’t realize that they would find love when they were studying together. She was also a college sports star, she used to play for the college's volleyball team as a champion center blocker.
