Ryan Lizza is an American journalist and political commentator. He is currently the Washington correspondent for The New Yorker and a CNN political analyst. He is also a contributing editor for Esquire magazine.

Early Life

Ryan Lizza was born in New York City in 1975. He attended the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant for the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

Career

In 2002, Lizza began his career in journalism as a staff writer for The New Republic. He then moved to The New Yorker in 2007, where he has been the Washington correspondent since then. He has written extensively on politics, including profiles of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain.

In addition to his work at The New Yorker, Lizza is a contributing editor for Esquire magazine and a political analyst for CNN. He has also written for The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.
