Susan Candiotti was born in Buffalo, New York in 1956. She attended the University of Buffalo, where she earned a degree in journalism. After graduating, she began her career in journalism as a reporter for WKBW-TV in Buffalo. She then moved to Miami, Florida, where she worked as a reporter for WPLG-TV.
Career
In 1985, Candiotti joined CNN as a correspondent. She has since reported on some of the most important news stories of the past few decades, including the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Oklahoma City bombing, the O.J. Simpson trial, and the war in Iraq. She has also covered natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
