Background and Age

Patricia Davies Clarkson was born on December 29, 1959 in New Orleans, Louisana. Her mom, Jackie Clarkson is a retired politician who filled in as a councilwoman in the city of New Orleans. Her father, Arthur "Buzz" Clarkson, worked as a school head. She grew up with four sisters Kevi, Diane, Cindy and Jacquelyn.

Clarkson went to O. Perry Walker High School and upon graduation, she enrolled at Louisiana State University. She moved to Fordham University where she pursued and finished a college degree in drama. She got her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama.

Relationships

Patricia Clarkson has never been married in her life and does not have any children. At the 2019 Emmys, the Emmy nominated actress was joined at the occasion by her sweetheart Darwin Shaw, who she worked with for a few episodes of House of Cards.

Career and Net Worth

Clarkson started her acting career in front of a venue audience with her debut introduction in a 1986 Broadway production of The House of Blue Leaves. After a year, she got her first motion picture role as she was cast in the criminal film, The Untouchables in 1987. She handled her first real role with Clint Eastwood in the action flick The Dead Pool (1988). The skilled actress eventually conquered a drought in her career when she was featured in the film, High Art in 1998.

Patricia Clarkson's acting career got busier when she landed a noteworthy role in the HBO series Six Feet Under, featuring as a regular character named Sarah O'Connor. For her work on the hit show, the gifted actress won 2 Primetime Emmy Awards. She was also nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance in the comedy film The Station Agent (2003) trailed by an Academy Award and a Golden Globe nomination for her role in another comedy called Pieces of April (2003).

In 2014, Clarkson featured in the Broadway production of The Elephant Man and her performance got her a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress. Her next remarkable role was in the British comedy flick The Party (2017) for which she got the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.

In September 2019, at the 2019 Emmy Awards show, Clarkson was nominated for Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie because of her performance in Sharp Objects.
