Natalie Portman is known as an American actress. She is most famous for her breakout role in the Professional and for winning the 2010 Academy Award for her role in Black Swan.

Background and Age

Natalie Portman was born on June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel. While she was a baby, Portman's folks moved to the United States. They originally lived in Washington D.C., and after that settled in Long Island, New York, where Natalie went to Syosset High School.

While at a nearby pizza parlor, Portman was found by a rep of Revlon beauty care products, who asked the 11-year-old to pursue a modeling career. Portman didn't really enjoy modeling and chose to guide her endeavors toward acting. Soon after, she started working with the Usdan Theater Arts Camp, where she appeared in various nearby productions.

Portman started dating ballet artist Benjamin Millepied in 2009, in the wake of meeting each other on the set of Black Swan. In 2010 the couple reported their engagement, and on June 14, 2011, Portman brought forth their first kid, Aleph Portman-Millepied. Portman and Millepied got married in August 2012. The wedding was attended by a few superstars, including Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Macaulay Culkin. Portman brought forth their second child, a girl named Amalia, on February 22, 2017.

Career and Net Worth

Portman made her film debut in Luc Besson's significant 1994 feature, The Professional. The role which featured her as hired gunman's disciple grabbed the eye of critics and spectators. The next year, her distinction developed with a brief yet spellbinding performance as Al Pacino's daughter in the 1995 bank robbery drama, Heat.

She was given a role as Queen Amidala in the Star Wars prequels. While proceeding with her career, Portman earned a degree in brain research from Harvard University. She won the 2010 Best Actress Oscar for her depiction of a ballet performer in Black Swan. Portman got another Oscar nomination for her depiction of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in the biopic Jackie in 2016.
