Lyoto Machida is known as a Japanese Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who is currently signed with Bellator MMA. He is most famous for winning the UFC Light Heavyweight Title.

Background
Lyoto Machida was born on May 30, 1978, in Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil. Lyoto Carvalho Machida's excitement for karate and high regard for formal training was ingrained right on time by his father, Yoshizo Machida, who was the leader of the Brazilian part of the Japan Karate Association. The youthful Machida started training shotokan karate in 1981 and got his black belt at age 13. At age 12, he prepared his skills in sumo wrestling, and after three years, Lyoto Machida entered the Brazilian jiu-jitsu phase of training. in the year 2000, he was the runner up in the Brazilian Sumo Championship in the 115 kg division.
He is also trained his mind along with his physical abilities. He got his four year college education by gaining practical experience in Physical Education, a degree that matched his physical career.
Career
With long stretches of karate and sumo competition accomplishment added to his repertoire, Lyoto Machida appeared at the UFC 67 event in 2007. For the end of his UFC career, he battled in the middleweight division. He is risky and dangerous when he is in the ring or the cage. He is is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. He was on an uphill climb when he made his bid for the title. It all came to a peak when he met Rashad Evans for the title. He quickly dispatched Evans to win the title when he knocked Evans out. He was full of joy but sadly his title reign would be very short.
He won a close decision against Shogun Rua that many people felt was the wrong decision. In their rematch, Shogun knocked out Machida to take the title off him. Lyoto would never win the title again and his career started going downhill. He eventually signed with Bellator MMA to finish his career. In June 2019, he beat another legend Chael Sonnen. After the event, Sonnen announced his retirement as Lyoto and fans applauded.

Lyoto has been a happily married man for a long time. He has a wonderful life partner and her name is Fabyola. They together have two children and their children's names are Taiyo and Kaito. He is living joyfully with his significant other and children. He is a faithful husband and devoted father.
