Lori Anne Loughlin is known as an American actress, model, and television producer. She is most famous for her role as Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis on the popular family sitcom Full House.

Fame

Background and Education

Lori Anne Loughlin was born on the July 28, 1964 in Queens, New York. She experienced childhood in Hauppauge on Long Island. Her Irish parents were Joseph and Lorelle Loughlin. Her father worked at a major New York telephone company.  She spent most of her primary education in New York where she went to Oaks Elementary School and Hauppauge High School.

Career

At fifteen years old, Lori joined the cast of The Edge Of Night in the role of Jody Travis, a dancer. She was on the show for three years before leaving. After her appearance on the show, she started appearing in small roles in a few motion pictures and TV programs.

In 1988, she started in her most famous role of Rebecca on Full House. Her role in Full House was at first expected to be a six-scene run yet it later developed to last the whole series because of the positive feedback that her character received from the audience.

After Full House finished, she joined the cast of Hudson Street, a sitcom on ABC featuring Tony Danza, but the show was dropped after just one season. In 1993, she appeared in A Stranger In The Mirror, an adaptation of Sidney Sheldon's hit novel.  

Personal Life

Family

Lori Loughlin was married to Michael R. Burns, a stock broker, from 1989 until 1996. In 1997, she got married to Mossimo Gianulli. Her better half, Mossimo Gianulli, established Mossimo, a billion dollar sportswear and accessories brand in 1986. As of today, the brand has been sold in more than 1,700 stores and is sold globally in Japan, South America, Australia, Mexico, Philippines and numerous other countries.

Together, the couple has two children, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose. Giannuli also has a child, Gianni, from a past relationship.

Fraud Scandal

Lori Loughlin and 15 other wealthy parents faced criminal charges of fraud during a 2019 college admissions scandal. The guardians, who were accused in March 2019 of attempted extortion, were charged in April 2019 with plotting to launder rewards through a philanthropy charity ran by Rick Singer, the driving force of the con.

Loughlin and her significant other, style designer Mossimo Giannulli, are accused for paying $500,000 to Singer's phony charity to get their two little girls into the University of Southern California.
