(born April 5, 1945) is a German comedian, actor, and television presenter. He is best known for his work on the popular German television show Wetten, dass..? and his appearances in various films and television shows.

Early Life

Karl Dall was born in Berlin, Germany on April 5, 1945. He was raised in a working-class family and attended a local school. After graduating, he studied at the University of Berlin, where he earned a degree in German literature.


In the early 1970s, Dall began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing in various clubs and theaters throughout Germany. He quickly gained popularity and was soon appearing on television shows and in films. In 1981, he became the host of the popular German television show Wetten, dass..?, which he hosted for over a decade. During this time, he also appeared in various films and television shows, including the German comedy series Der Bulle von Tölz.

In the late 1990s, Dall began to focus more on his acting career, appearing in several films and television shows. He also continued to host various television shows, including the German version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and the game show Schlag den Raab.
