James Valentine

James Valentine is known as an American musician and songwriter. He is most famous for being the lead guitarist for the rock band Maroon 5.

James Burgon Valentine was born on October 5, 1978 in Lincoln, NE. Valentine was born to Robert Young Valentine and Shauna Burgon Valentine. He has four kin which includes three sisters and one brother. His father was a professor of Latin American Literature at Brigham Young University and his mom was a former beauty queen and a teacher, who later surrendered her career to remain at home took care and look after the five children. Being raised in a Mormon family, he went to chapel consistently during his initial childhood years. James went to the Lincoln Southeast High School, where he was the leader of the student board. He was also an Eagle Scout. He had met with popular singer, John Mayer during his brief span at the Berklee College of music, and their friendship bloomed from that point forward.

James first started his music career with the piano. He then starting playing drums before he lastly settled with the guitar. During his adolescent years, he worked with some groups in Lincoln which included Montag, Kid Quarkstar, Mondello and Happy Dog. In 2000, he relocated to Los Angeles and gave guitar exercises privately to music students while playing as a guitarist for the Square band. He connected with the musicians of Kara's Flowers band during that time.

When Kara's Flowers needed a guitarist to join the band, James turned into the best decision for them. The band was later renamed as Maroon 5, the pop musical gang. James has found his biggest success as the lead guitarist and songwriter for Maroon 5. The band Maroon 5 got well known after they did an opening spot for James' college friend, John Mayer. James worked as the lead guitarist for two tunes in the album collection 'Continuum'. Their collection, 'Melodies about Jane', beat the hit charts and later they turned into a popular music band universally. James is additionally a part of the JJAMZ band, which has been named with the principal letter of every one of its member's names, and the primary J is for James.

In November 2019, at the 2019 American Music Awards, Imagine Dragons was nominated for the Favorite Artist in the Adult Contemporary Award but lost to Taylor Swift.
