Career and Net Worth

Devlin signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in May 2019 but was released a few months later in August 2019. The Steelers re-signed him to their practice squad in September 2019 and was promoted to the active list in September 2019 after injury damage to starter Ben Roethlisberger.

He made his professional debut introduction with the Steelers in a game against the Baltimore Ravens following injury damage to Mason Rudolph on in October 2019. He finished seven of nine passes for 68 yards and ran the ball twice for 20 yards in his first regular season game. In a late October 2019 game, he won his first NFL start. He tossed for 132 yards and completed one touchdown. He supplanted Rudolph and drove the Steelers to a rebound triumph over the Cincinnati Bengals in November 2019. After the game, Steelers' lead trainer Mike Tomlin declined to declare a starting QB for the next week.

In November 2019, The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they will start Devlin Hodges, who made waves prior in the season with his frank support of President Trump, at quarterback as they take on the Cleveland Browns. It will be Hodges' second career start. He started before the season for the injured Mason Rudolph in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

While Hodges may have been euphoric about getting the start, he immediately turned into the objective of social media trolls who restored his past tweets about President Trump. The Samford product was discovered erasing the tweets about Trump, however Twitter users saved the receipts and caused a social media uproar
