Background and Age

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio was born on March 10, 1994 in Almirante Sur, Puerto Rico. He started singing at five and consistently paid attention to getting better at his craft. His greatest musical influences were Héctor Lavoe, Vico C, Daddy Yankee, and Marc Anthony. He studied media correspondence at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, and worked as a bagger at a market while making his own music around evening time and uploading it on SoundCloud. Bad Bunny's melody "Diles" got the ear of DJ Luian, who signed him to his Hear This Music label in 2016.

That same year, he started to be a key part of the Hear This Music organization of Dj Luian and Mambo Kings; who understood the achievement that Bad Bunny was having, perceived his ability and offered him to sign to join the organization. With his new musical organization, he released the remix of the single "Diles" where he had the joint effort of Ñengo Flow, Ozuna, Arcángel Y Farruko, which arrived at a huge number of views on YouTube.

The stage name "Bad Bunny" was granted to him as a result of an image of his adolescence when he was dressed as a bunny and had an exceptionally cheerful face. The photograph was shared on social media and with the popular attention, he made a Twitter account with the name Bad Bunny.

Bunny's big break came with the single "Soy Peor," in December of 2016, topped at 22 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, and built up his snare overwhelming sound with the majority. Its video rang up in excess of 650 million views. Appearances with Ñengo Flow, Arcangel, and Ozuna before long pursued, and in mid 2017 he commenced a particularly prolific run with the singles "Dad Ti," "Loco Pero Millonario," and "Dime Si Vas a Volver," in the midst of various shared tracks with Poeta Callejero, Farruko, Brytiago, Almighty, and others.
