Mikaela Mullaney Straus was born on December 19, 1998 in Brooklyn, New York. Her father's name is Oliver Straus and his mom's name is unknown. Her father is an engineer. Her grandparent's names are Isidor Straus and Ida Straus who both lost their lives in the sinking of the ship RMS Titanic. She went through her youth with her father in his Mission Sound Studio. She figured out how to play bass, guitar, piano, and drums just as music production procedures. The Brooklyn-based artist was a youthful music prodigy, allegedly offered a record deal when she was only 11. She moved to Los Angeles after high school and studied at the USC Thorton School of Music. Following one year, she dropped out to pursue her music career.

Partner

King Princess is a proud lesbian. She is dating an actress Amandla Stenberg. They came out in public as a couple in the honorary event, 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. Before that photo op, Princess had uncovered in an interview with Billboard that she was dating Amandla.

Career and Net Worth

King Princess launched her music career with her independent album collection 'Cheap Queen' which also contained the single, '1950'. The melody was the tribute to the novel of 1952, 'The Price of Salt' composed by Patricia High Smith of the LGBTQ Community. The British singer Harry Styles tweeted the verses from the tune and the melody was shared among a wide group of spectators. She brought her second independent melody 'Talai' to the masses in April. She appeared with her all-inclusive play 'Make My Bed' on June 15, 2018.

The multi-instrumentalist King Princess conveys her deep vocals over warm, barometrical synth production motivated by her idols like Perfume Genius, Nick Cave, Beyoncé, and Dolly Parton. She got through in 2018 with her single "1950" preceding giving her 2019 introduction, Cheap Queen. Early tunes like "Send Pix" and "Sunburn" featured a more soul-filled rock tune, one that she would include on her 2018 leap forward, "1950." The strange love song of praise got from artists like Harry Styles and Halsey and it was her first discharge for Mark Ronson's Zelig Records label.

In December 2019, it was announced that King Princess made the Forbes 30 Under 30 – Music list.
