Carl Quintanilla is an American journalist and anchor for CNBC. He is best known for his work on the network's Squawk on the Street and Squawk Alley programs. He has also served as a correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC.

Early Life

Carl Quintanilla was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 28, 1968. He attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. After college, he worked as a reporter for the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, Colorado.

Career

In 1997, Quintanilla joined CNBC as a reporter and anchor. He was soon promoted to co-anchor of the network's Squawk on the Street program. He also served as a correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC.

In 2006, Quintanilla was named co-anchor of CNBC's Squawk Alley program. He has also served as a substitute anchor for NBC Nightly News and Today. In addition, he has appeared as a guest on various news programs, including The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report.

In 2011, Quintanilla was named one of the "50 Most Influential People in Business" by Fortune magazine. He has also been honored with several Emmy Awards for his work on CNBC.

Personal Life

Quintanilla is married to his wife, Lisa, and they have two children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing the guitar. He is also a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
