Candace Owens is a well-known African American conservative media personality and political commentator. She is most famous for creating the Red Pill Black channel on YouTube.

Background and Education

Candace Owens was born on April 29, 1989, in Stamford, Connecticut. She was raised by her grandparents when her folks' marriage ended. She went to Stamford High School, where she was a casualty of harassment and bullying. In 2007, she got a call from a blocked number that insulted her with racial slurs while still in secondary school.

The issue got exposed when media uncovered that one of the young men was the former Stamford Mayor, Dannel Malloy's 14-year-old child. The situation prompted her father to file legal action against Stamford for neglecting to shield his little girl from harassment. The legal action compensated her family a total of $37,500.

Career

Candace Owen's media career has been filled with controversies and contentions. In 2016, she started a site called SocialAutopsy.com, which focused on uncovering bullies on the web by following their computerized footprints. The website was to be crowdfunded on Kickstarter. Still, it was suspended because it became a controversial topic, drawing doubts from online journalists and people who felt more damage could occur working as a vigilante. In 2017, she started a YouTube channel called The Red Pill Black. The purpose was to invigorate the conservatism movement among black people in the United States. She was selected as the director of urban development of Turning Point USA on November 21, 2017, at a MAGA rally in Rockford, Illinois. Candace's life changed when she posted a video on YouTube attacking the media for creating a racial frenzy during the Charlottesville rally.

Relationships

Candace tries to keep her personal life private because she does not want people attacking her loved ones. In an Instagram post on January 22, 2019, Candace shared a photograph of a man named George Farmer with a caption that read, "I am madly and truly in love with George Farmer". The media was shocked to find out that Candace would admit that George Farmer is her beau. In another post in February 2019, she posted an image with her beau captioned "Wedding Planning". During an interview with Stamford Advocate in July 2016, she revealed that George was a golfer, but she did not tell how they met each other.
