Early Life
Tom DeFalco was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1950. He was raised in a working-class family, and his father was a printer. DeFalco was an avid comic book reader from an early age, and his love of the medium led him to pursue a career in the industry.
Career
DeFalco began his career in the comic book industry in the early 1970s, working as an assistant editor at Marvel Comics. He quickly rose through the ranks, and by the mid-1980s he was the company's Editor-in-Chief. During his tenure, he oversaw some of the most iconic stories in Marvel history, including the "Secret Wars" and "Inferno" crossovers.
