Early Life
Jennifer Syme was born on December 7, 1972 in Pico Rivera, California. She was the daughter of Maria St. John and John Syme. She had two siblings, a brother named John and a sister named Christina. Her father was a musician and her mother was a homemaker. She grew up in a close-knit family and was very close to her siblings.
Career
Jennifer Syme began her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. She started out as an assistant to director David Lynch and worked on the set of his film Lost Highway. She then went on to work as a production assistant on the set of The X-Files. She also worked as a production assistant on the set of the television series Charmed.
In 1998, Syme was cast in the film The Matrix as the character of "Switch". She was also cast in the film Lost Highway as the character of "Alice". She also had a small role in the film The Devil's Advocate.
Personal Life
In 1999, Syme began a relationship with actor Keanu Reeves. The couple had a daughter, Ava Archer Syme-Reeves, who was stillborn in December of that year. The couple split shortly after the tragedy.
In 2001, Syme was involved in a car accident that resulted in her death. She was 28 years old.
