Stephanie Abrams was born on October 27, 1978 in Wellington, FL. Following her folks' divorce, Stephanie Abrams was raised by her mom. She finished her fundamental education at Forest Hill Community high school where she was a member of her school's cheerleading team. She later earned her first degree in Geography from the University of Florida, located in Gainesville. She further proceeded to Florida State University located in Tallahassee where she earned her subsequent qualification, a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.

During her time at the college, she completed on-air climate forecast training on a Tallahassee TV channel during a student-run news and climate program named, FSU Live.

Stephanie Abrams is a prominent meteorologist who has been in the news-casting field for over two decades. She started her professional career in 2002, upon her graduation from the University at ABC associate station, WTXL ABC 27, working as an on-camera weather journalist.

She has spent over 16 years on The Weather Channel, working at various units. Abrams also picked up prominence as a co-host of Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast in the year 2006 alongside her live reportage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010. She has additionally proceeded to exhibit her leadership characteristics from 2002 to 2003 while filling in as the leader of the North Florida unit of the American Meteorological Society.

At the Weather Channel, she was a journalist and fill-in from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, she joined her first show, Weekend View, as a co-host. On July 20, 2009, she started co-hosting Wake Up With Al with NBC's Al Roker in Weekdays mornings from 5 am to 7 am.

She infrequently joined Sam Champion on AMHW from 7-10 AM during that period hosting Wake Up With Al. Abrams has filled in for Roker when he was on an extended get-away, live from the network's Rockefeller Center studios in New York City.
