Ronda Rousey is known as an American actress, pro wrestler, and former mixed martial artist. She is most famous for being the first UFC women's champion.
Background and Age
Ronda Jean Rousey was born on February 1, 1987, in Riverside, California. Born with her umbilical rope folded over her neck, Rousey almost passed on from an absence of oxygen. She continued to suffer from the incident, which obstructed her capacity to express an understandable word until she was six.
A disaster fell upon the family when Rousey's father, Ron was injured while sledding with his little girls. A blood issue kept him from recuperating properly, and in the wake of learning he would be a paraplegic, he ended it all when Rousey was eight. Rousey struggled in class and was self-taught for parts of elementary and high school, yet she found an outlet for her disappointment when her mother, AnnMaria De Mars, convinced her to learn judo. Uncertain of what to do in the wake of her judo career, Rousey worked as a bartender and lived out of her vehicle for a stint in Los Angeles. She eventually joined the Glendale Fighting Club and in August 2010 made her novice debut in mixed martial arts, a triumph by method for an armbar after only 23 seconds.
Married, Husband and Kids
Rousey married UFC contender Travis Browne in August 2017 in Hawaii. Before her marriage to Travis, she was dating a mixed martial arts instructor. They ended up breaking up when Rousey caught him taking inappropriate photos of her without her permission.
Career and Net Worth
Ronda turned into a judo champion, acquiring consecutive golds at the Pan American Championships and a 2008 Olympic bronze award. When Rousey joined the mixed martial arts circuit in 2010, she ended up winning popularity as the UFC Bantamweight Champion, before enduring her first misfortune in November 2015. In January 2018, she reported her transition to the WWE pro wrestling circuit.
Various fans wanted to see Ronda Rousey face Gina Carano in the Octagon. It would have been a significant payday for the two legends. In November 2019, in an interview with MMA media, Carano explained why she didn't go up against Ronda Rousey. She met Lorenzo Fertitta, the UFC boss, and Dana White, the pioneer of the UFC. They were close to a deal and Carano would have made boatloads of money. White kept putting pressure on her through the media for Carano to sign but Carano wanted to wait until she was in shape. At a certain point, he sent her an irate text message which forced her to end all negotiations.
