Background and Age
Robin Weigert was born on July 7, 1969, in Washington, D.C. Her folks are Wolfgang Oscar Weigert, a doctor who was born in Berlin, and Dionne Weigert. She went to Brandeis University, where she graduated from 1991. Weigert proceeded to go to New York University, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tisch School of the Arts in the Graduate Acting Program.
Acting Career and Net Worth
Before moving to Los Angeles to join the cast of HBO's Deadwood, Robin delighted in an almost decade long stage career in New York, where she performed both on and off Broadway, got nominations for Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel awards for her work in Richard Nelson's Madame Melville.
She then came back to New York to play the eponymous Angel in Tony Kushner's "Angel's in America", which had a much-celebrated run at the Signature Theater. The smaller than usual series opened right as Robin's career on screen was starting to take off. Robin's first break in film came when Stephen Soderbergh cast her as the bleach blonde Teutonic temptress Hannelore in "The Good German", featuring George Clooney and Cate Blanchett.
Suzanne Bier cast her as Brenda in "Things We Lost in the Fire", a motion picture that featured Benicio del Toro and Halle Berry. "Fragments", which pursued, had a glorious gathering cast that included Forrest Whitaker, Kate Beckinsale, Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, and Josh Hutcherson.
