Background and Age
Reba Nell McEntire was born on March 28, 1955, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to a group of champion cow ropers. While growing up, McEntire and her three kin invested energy making a trip to and from their father's big showdown rodeo performances. Their mom, Jacqueline McEntire, supported her children's musical ability. During their many long rides, they would sit back by learning tunes and orchestrating.
Eventually, when Reba McEntire was in ninth grade, she and her two more youthful kin shaped the gathering the Singing McEntires, and proceeded to perform at rodeos. The gathering later disbanded, however Reba kept on executing as a performer through her school years.
Married, Husband and Kids
In 1976, Reba McEntire married cow wrestling champion and farmer Charlie Battles. The couple claimed a farm in Oklahoma. In 1987, as McEntire's musical career started to take off, the marriage crumbled. After their separation, the singer moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to refocus on her music. In 1989, McEntire married her supervisor, Narvel Blackstock, who previously had three children from a past marriage. In 1990, the couple would give birth to a child, Shelby McEntire Blackstock. In 2015, following 26 years together, the couple declared they were isolating from each other.
Career and Net Worth
In 1974, McEntire got a break when country music star Red Steagall heard her sing at the National Finals Rodeo. The youthful singer's devotion performance dazzled Steagall, prompting him to assist her with recording a demo and eventually sign with Mercury Records.
Adding much more to her plate, the singer effectively made the switch from music to film. Taking rapidly to her new career, she would proceed to act in the film Tremors (1990). In 2001, the WB Network propelled a TV sitcom called Reba, featuring the country music star as a divorced person attempting to bring up a high school little girl.
