Rambhadracharya (born 14 January 1950) is an Indian Hindu religious leader, scholar, and polymath. He is one of the most respected and influential figures in Hinduism today. He is the founder and head of the Tulsi Peeth, a religious and educational institution in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Early Life

Rambhadracharya was born in a Brahmin family in the village of Jankpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father, Pandit Ramanujacharya, was a renowned scholar of Sanskrit and Vedic literature. His mother, Shrimati Bhagwati Devi, was a devout Hindu and a great devotee of Lord Rama.

Rambhadracharya was a brilliant student from a young age. He was proficient in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, and was also a gifted musician. He was deeply devoted to Lord Rama and was known for his piety and devotion.

Education and Career

Rambhadracharya received his early education in Sanskrit and Vedic literature from his father. He then went on to study at the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sanskrit.

Rambhadracharya then went on to become a professor of Sanskrit at the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. He also served as the head of the Department of Sanskrit at the university.

In 1986, Rambhadracharya founded the Tulsi Peeth, a religious and educational institution in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. The institution is dedicated to the study and propagation of Hinduism and Vedic literature.

Rambhadracharya has written over 100 books on Hinduism and Vedic literature. He has also composed numerous hymns and devotional songs in praise of Lord Rama. He is a renowned scholar and has been invited to speak at various conferences and seminars around the world.


Rambhadracharya is a great philanthropist and has been involved in numerous charitable activities. He has established several schools and colleges in Chitrakoot and other parts of Uttar Pradesh. He has also provided financial assistance to many poor and needy people.

Rambhadracharya has also been actively involved in the preservation of Hindu temples and monuments. He has been instrumental in the restoration of several ancient temples in India.
