Background and Age
Marin Elizabeth Hinkle was born on March 23, 1966 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She was born to American guardians, Margaret and Rodney Hinkle. Her father served in the Peace Corps at the time. Her folks relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, when Hinkle was only four months old. Her mom worked as a Justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts, and her father worked as an educator. Hinkle went to Newton South High School and is an alum of Brown University and of New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts.

Marin has been married to Randall Sommer, the New York theater director and actor. They met in 1992 and tied the knot in 1998. They gave birth to a son together.
Career and Net Worth
Marin Hinkle initially wanted to be a professional ballet dancer, however she had to surrender that fantasy and instead go for acting after suffering a leg injury at the age of 16. Before going into acting she worked with KFDA-TV from 1990 to 1994. Her acting career started in 1994 when she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Lansburgh Theater in Washington DC. She additionally played Kuroko and was an understudy for Miranda in The Tempest at the Broadhurst Theater. From July to August 1996, she appeared as Sandra Markowitz in A Thousand Clowns and as Chrysothemis in Electra. Her first TV show appearance was on the soap opera Another World.
Hinkle's first big success was in 1999 when she featured in the series Once and Again, as Judy Brooks. After this, came her second success, Two and a Half Men, in which she featured close by Ashton Kutcher. Charlie Sheen, Angus T. Jones, and Jon Cryer, playing Judith Harper-Melnick. She appeared in 83 episodes but left the show before it eventually quit airing because of her new responsibilities to her new role as Samantha Bowers in the NBC drama series Deception.
In 2005, Hinkle played the role of Miss Julie, in the play Miss Julie. In 2008, she featured in The Haunting of Molly Hartley and Quarantine. In September 2019, at the 2019 Emmy Awards show, Hinkle was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series because of her performance in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
