Kid Rock is known as an American singer and musician. He is most famous for his unique sound of rap, heavy metal, and country rock.

Background and Age

Robert James Ritchie was born on January 17, 1971, in Romeo, Michigan. His father was a vehicle dealer who possessed land where the youthful Ritchie would work alongside his three kin. He got intrigued by hip hop during the 1980s, joining a breakdance group and instructing himself to rap and DJ. From that point, he started performing at neighborhood parties as part of a rap bunch called The Beast Crew and met D-Nice, a member of KRS-One's Boogie Down Productions. This prompted an opening space at a BDP show, and D-Nice, who was signed to Jive Records, helped Kid Rock land a deal with the same label.

Intensely influenced by the Beastie Boys and their great Licensed to Ill, Kid Rock's introduction, Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast, was released in 1990. Rolling Stone would later include it in a rundown of "20 terrible debut albums by great artists" condemning it for being so tenaciously conventional it resembles a move where he hurled everything current about hip hop in 1990 into a goliath colander and filtered out all the uniqueness. With production from Too Short and D-Nice, it accomplished success when an uncensored rendition of the collection's single "Yo-Da-Lin in the Valley", a song about oral sex was played on a college radio broadcast, prompting an FCC fine. Rock was released from his contract by Jive because of the incident.

Married, Wife and Kids

Kid Rock started dating the former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson in 2001. They got engaged in April 2002, cut off their association in 2003, then rejoined and married in July of 2006. After four months both he and Anderson petitioned for legal separation.

His adult son, Robert James Ritchie Jr., whose mother is Rock's ex Kelley South Russell, has a little girl, Skye, born in 2014.

Career and Net Worth

Kid Rock's musical adventure is one that has enveloped underground Detroit rap, heavy metal, and country rock, and by finding the ideal mix of every one of the three, he transformed a disappointing career into a tremendous achievement. He has ridden a career that included selling over 35 million records worldwide.

In November 2019, a fan at Kid Rock's Nashville concert captured video of him in a profanity-bound tirade about Oprah Winfrey and others. TMZ posted the video of Kid Rock swearing and slurring his words in front of an audience, particularly going at Oprah, Joy Behar, and Kathie Lee Gifford.
