Early Life

Julie Banderas was born on September 25, 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut. She is the daughter of a Puerto Rican father and a Polish mother. She grew up in a multicultural environment and was exposed to different cultures from a young age.

Banderas attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland.
