Claudia Cowan is an American journalist and news anchor who has been working in the media industry for over two decades. She is currently a Fox News Channel correspondent based in San Francisco, California.

Early Life

Claudia Cowan was born in San Francisco, California in 1971. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After graduating, she began her career in journalism as a reporter for KTVU-TV in Oakland, California.

Career

Cowan began her career in journalism in 1994, when she joined KTVU-TV in Oakland, California as a reporter. She quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to anchor in 1997. During her time at KTVU-TV, she covered a variety of stories, including the O.J. Simpson trial, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the Columbine High School massacre.

In 2000, Cowan joined Fox News Channel as a correspondent based in San Francisco. She has since reported on a wide range of stories, including the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Iraq War, the 2008 presidential election, and the BP oil spill. She has also covered natural disasters, such as the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and the 2017 California wildfires.
