Julian Assange is known as an Australian journalist, computer programmer, and activist. He is most famous for being the founder of the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks which is credited with leaking sensitive information about corruption in government.

Background and Education

Julian Assange was born on July 3, 1971, in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Assange had an unusual youth, as he invested a portion of his initial years going around with his mom, Christine, and his stepfather, Brett Assange. The couple worked together to put on dramatic productions. Brett Assange described Julian as a sharp child who battled for the dark horse.

The connection among Brett and Christine later soured, yet Assange and his mom kept on carrying on with a transient way of life. With the majority of the moving around, Assange wound up going to about 37 unique schools growing up, and was every now and again self-taught.

In 2006, Assange started plans for WikiLeaks, a site expected to gather and share secret data on a universal scale. The site formally launched in 2007 and was safe in Sweden at the time due to the nation's solid laws ensuring an individual's anonymity.

Soon thereafter, WikiLeaks released a U.S. military manual that gave sensitive data on the Guantanamo Bay activities. WikiLeaks likewise shared messages from that point on the bad behavior of presidential competitor Sarah Palin that it got from an unknown source in September 2008.

In April 2019, The Justice Department declared that it was charging Julian Assange, setting the platform for a memorable lawful confrontation with the dubious organizer of WikiLeaks. Both sides expect a long court battle.

Personal Life

Gossip tidbits about a connection among Assange and actress Pamela Anderson surfaced after the former Baywatch star was spotted visiting the Ecuadorian government office in late 2016. She told People magazine that she visited Julian because he is endeavoring to free the world by teaching it. She adores him for his crusade but did not confirm that they were in a relationship. .

Sexual Assault Controversy

In December 2010, Assange was under scrutiny by the Swedish police for charges that included two charges of sexual attack. After a European Arrest Warrant was issued by Swedish authorities on December 6, Assange handed himself over to the London police.

There was media speculation that the incident was a conspiracy to try and capture Julian who was on the run for leaking US government secrets.
