Jorge Masvidal is known as a Cuban American mixed martial artist competing in the UFC's welterweight division. He is most famous for being the inaugural UFC BMF Champion.


Jorge Masvidal was born on November 12, 1984 in Miami, FL. He was born to a Cuban father and Peruvian mother. His father escaped from Cuba as an adolescent with an independent spirit, winding up at the Virgin Islands. Masvidal's father has served more than two decades in jail for homicide and drug dealing.
