Jorge Masvidal was born on November 12, 1984 in Miami, FL. He was born to a Cuban father and Peruvian mother. His father escaped from Cuba as an adolescent with an independent spirit, winding up at the Virgin Islands. Masvidal's father has served more than two decades in jail for homicide and drug dealing.
