Ibtisam Lutfi is a Palestinian-American poet, author, and activist. She is best known for her work in the fields of social justice, human rights, and the arts. Born in the West Bank in 1967, she has lived in the United States since the age of nine.

Early Life

Ibtisam Lutfi was born in 1967 in the West Bank city of Ramallah. She was raised in a large family of seven siblings, and her parents were both teachers.
