Harvey Weinstein is known as a former film producer. He was most famous for films like 'Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Good Will Hunting' before allegations of sexual assault ruined his career.

Background and Age

Harvey Weinstein was born on March 19, 1952, in Queens, New York. He was the oldest child of Max and Miriam Weinstein. Harvey and his sibling, Bob, built up their marketing prudence from Max, a jewel shaper, alongside an adoration for the films molded through Saturday evenings together at the theater. Subsequent to moving on from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1973, Weinstein stayed in the region to start a film promotion business.

Married, Wife and Kids

Eve Chilton Weinstein and Harvey got married in 1987. After their wedding, Harvey's career started to blast and he steadily developed in the business. The couple had three girls together. Their first little girl Remy was born in 1995 and their second Emma came in 1998. In 2002, they gave birth to their third little girl, Ruth. Two years after the birth of their last girl, Eve and Harvey split, after nearly twenty years of marriage. It was an agreeable separation that saw Eve Chilton Weinstein get their enormous Central Park apartment.

Legal Issues

Harvey Weinstein wound up in a negative spotlight in October 2017, after a report in The New York Times about his supposed history of inappropriate sexual behavior with actresses. Weinstein used his power to make unwelcome advances on various ladies, including actress Ashley Judd, discreetly arriving at settlements to keep them quiet.

In August 2019, it was announced that Annabella Sciorra would testify against Harvey Weinstein at his preliminary hearing in January 2020 on rape and other sexual assault charges. Sciorra accused Weinstein of raping her in her Gramercy Park apartment in 1993.

Career and Net Worth

In 1979, Harvey and Bob Weinstein established the Miramax Films Corporation, named after their folks. At first designed to promote little, art-house-type films, Miramax before long formed into a noteworthy player in the business. Inside 10 years, the studio had released big victories like My Left Foot (1989) and Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), with Harvey filling in as the head of the organization.

After the Walt Disney Company procured Miramax in 1993, the Weinsteins produced a string of acclaimed films. Pulp Fiction (1994) and Good Will Hunting (1997) struck film industry gold, and The English Patient (1996), Shakespeare in Love (1998) and Chicago (2002) all brought home the top Oscar prize of Best Picture.
