Early Life
Gill Deacon was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1965. She grew up in the city's east end and attended the University of Toronto, where she studied English and philosophy. Radio Career
In 1997, Deacon began her radio career as a producer and host of CBC Radio One's Here and Now.
