Frank Mottek is an American radio broadcaster and journalist. He is best known for his work as a business reporter for CBS Radio, where he has been a fixture since the mid-1980s. He is also the host of the nationally syndicated business show, Money Talk.
Early Life
Frank Mottek was born in Los Angeles, California in 1954. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a degree in communications. After college, he began his career in radio as a news reporter for KFWB in Los Angeles.
Career
In 1984, Mottek joined CBS Radio as a business reporter. He quickly became a fixture on the network, covering major business stories such as the 1987 stock market crash and the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s. He has also reported on the economy, the banking industry, and the auto industry.
In addition to his work as a business reporter, Mottek is the host of the nationally syndicated business show, Money Talk. The show is broadcast on more than 200 radio stations across the United States and is heard by millions of listeners each week.
Mottek has also been a frequent guest on television programs such as CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg TV. He has also been a guest on the popular radio show, The Dave Ramsey Show.
