• Biography

Bruno Mars is known as an American singer and songwriter. He is most famous for popular songs like "Nothin' on You," "Just the Way You Are," "Locked Out of Heaven," and "Uptown Funk".

Background and Age

Peter Gene Hernandez was born on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mars experienced childhood in a musical family. His father, Pete, was a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn, and his mom, Bernadette was a singer. Mars got his nickname, "Bruno," when he was a child. Bruno was generally so certain, autonomous, extremely solid willed and sort of a beast so the name Bruno simply stuck.

In Waikiki Beach, Mars' family played out a Las Vegas-style revue that included Motown hits, doo-wop songs and superstar pantomimes. Growing up around performers, Mars started getting musical instruments from early adolescence. At the age of 4, he joined the family musical as an Elvis impersonator and immediately became one of the superstars. He kept on performing with his family all through his youth, and as he approached his teen years, he added Michael Jackson to his performance collection.

Mars went to Roosevelt High School, where he and a few companions shaped a band, the School Boys, performing exemplary oldies hits close by his family's show at the Ilikai Hotel in Honolulu. Mars attributes his valiant stage skills to his abnormal youth. Performing from such a youthful age got him comfortable in front of an audience.

In the wake of moving on from high school, Mars chose to leave Hawaii for Los Angeles, California. Over his initial hardly any years in L.A., he battled to make a leap forward in the music business. Mars became disappointed with trusting that his career would push ahead. It was during this period that Mars originally went to songwriting. He started writing tunes when he climbed to Los Angeles to try to add more tools to his arsenal.

After quite a long while as one of popular music's head songwriters, Mars broke out as a singer in his very own right with the 2010 hit "Nothin' on You." Other mainstream tunes by Mars include "Only the Way You Are" (2010) and the Grammy-winning tracks "Uptown Funk" (2015) and "That is What I Like" (2017).
