Brad Douglas Paisley was born on October 28, 1972, in Glen Dale, West Virginia. Paisley's enthusiasm for music started at age 8, when his grandfather gave him his first guitar. By the age of 12, the youthful musician was singing in chapel and at gatherings and playing in his first band, for which he wrote his very own material. Paisley eventually verified a normal spot on Jamboree USA, a mainstream music radio show. Paisley was so prevalent with audience members that he was welcome to join the program as a full-time musician, opening for acts, for example, The Judds and Roy Clark.

Following two years at West Virginia's West Liberty State College, Paisley moved to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. The couple married in 2003, and gave birth to their first kid, a child named William Huckleberry, in 2007. On April 17, 2009, they had a subsequent child, Jasper Warren Paisley.

Paisley made his debut presentation as an independent artist subsequent to signing with Arista. He released his first collection, Who Needs Pictures, in 1999. The record produced the No. 1 hit "He Didn't Have to Be," trailed by the chart-beating single, "We Danced." The collection sold more than 1 million copies and launched Paisley to national popularity.
