Bokeem Woodbine was born on April 13, 1973 in Harlem, New York. He was highly influenced by his mom who herself was an actress during her time. Bokeem's father was working in an emergency clinic. His father and mom later got separated because of their constant issues. Woodbine went to the lofty Dalton School on Manhattan's Upper East Side before moving to the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art.
