Andrew Clement Serkis was born on April 20, 1964 in Ruislip Manor, Ruislip, United Kingdom. Andy Serkis' father was an Iraqi-born gynecologist of American heritage and his mom was an English instructor who taught crippled children. He experienced childhood in Britain, with some years in the Middle East. Serkis studied at St. Benedict's School, Ealing in his initial years.
