Early Life

Ace Kefford was born in London, England on October 24, 1943. He was the son of a jazz musician and a seamstress. He grew up in a musical family and was exposed to a variety of musical styles from an early age. He began playing the bass guitar at the age of 12 and soon developed a passion for music.

Career

In the early 1960s, Ace joined the band The Move, which was a popular British rock band. He was the bassist and backing vocalist for the band and was an integral part of their sound. He was also a songwriter and wrote some of the band's most popular songs, including "I Can Hear the Grass Grow" and "Flowers in the Rain".

In 1968, Ace left The Move and formed his own band, Ace Kefford Stand. The band released two albums, "Ace Kefford Stand" and "Ace Kefford Stand II". The band was well-received and gained a loyal following.

In the 1970s, Ace began to focus more on his solo career. He released several solo albums, including "Ace Kefford's Greatest Hits" and "Ace Kefford's Best of the Best". He also wrote and produced music for other artists, including Elton John and David Bowie.

Later Years

In the late 1980s, Ace retired from the music industry and moved to Spain. He continued to write and produce music, but he focused more on his personal life. He married his long-time partner, Maria, and they had two children together.

In the 2000s, Ace returned to the music industry and began touring again. He released a new album, "Ace Kefford: The Best of Ace Kefford", in 2008. He also continued to write and produce music for other artists.

Legacy

Ace Kefford is remembered as one of the most influential bassists of the 1960s and 1970s. He was a talented songwriter and producer and was an integral part of the British rock scene. His music continues to influence musicians today and his legacy will live on for many years to come.
