Paul Rudd is known as an American actor and film producer. He is most famous for his classic role in the 1995 film 'Clueless', beloved comedies like 'Anchorman and he is the lead of the superhero Marvel franchise 'Ant-Man.'

Fame

Background and Education

Paul Rudd was born on April 6, 1969, in Passaic, New Jersey to British guardians. Rudd voyaged as often as possible with his family, but he grew up mainly in Overland Park, Kansas. Harboring an unmistakable fascination for theater, he enlisted at the University of Kansas to study drama. After two years of excellent work, he earned the Spencer Tracy Scholarship to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.

After entering Oxford University's British Drama Academy for a three-month workshop, Paul helped produce the Globe Theater's production of Howard Brenton's Bloody Poetry under the direction of Michael Kahn. He also depicted the title role in Hamlet, directed by praised actor Ben Kingsley.

Career

After coming back to the U.S. in the mid 1990s from studying drama abroad, Rudd moved straight into a TV role as hopeful movie producer Kirby Philby on NBC's weekly drama, Sisters, which featured actress, Ashley Judd.

After appearing in a few TV miniseries, he co-featured in the brief Fox sitcom Wild Oats (1994). He also made his feature film debut as hero Tommy Doyle in the horror film, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Meyers.

Many of his hardcore fans remember him as the mature stepbrother of Cher, played by Alicia Silverstone, who eventually turns into the object of her love, in the 1995 hit teen comedy, Clueless.

Personal Life

Family

Outside of acting, Rudd is a remarkable family man that enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and children. He and spouse Julie Yaeger have been married since 2003. They have been commended by people in their circle and also by the media for their ability to stay together. Paul is a comedic actor but was always considered to be a handsome bachelor. Julie is happy that her man was never tempted to stray away from her even when he starred opposite some beautiful actresses.

They have a boy named Jack, and a girl named Darby. Raising two young kids gave Paul practice to portray a loving father in his Marvel franchise, Ant-Man. In the sequel of the popular franchise, there is a scene where he creates an elaborate and detailed fort with his on screen son.
