She started dating another basketball player, Iman Shumpert in January 2014. They got engaged to each other in November 2015. On December 16, 2015, she brought forth the couple's first youngster, a girl named Iman Tayla Shumpert, Jr.

Teyana's professional voyage started in September 2006. Teyana Taylor made her presentation as a choreographer in the music video of Beyoncé's hit single 'Ring the Alarm.' In the next year, Teyana was signed by recording artist and record producer Pharrell Williams for 'Star Trak Entertainment,' a division of 'Interscope Records.'
